Yes, it is a separate network in the connections list even though the login is shared with Instagram. Personal allows one Threads account; on Business it counts towards the same forty account limit.
The thread reply invites the person to write in Instagram or WhatsApp, and the customer card merges both conversations if they arrive from the same account. The public part stays public while order details move to a private channel.
